Transmission #1 is the AX5. The AX5 was put into all Jeep Wranglers produced from 1997 - 2002 with 2.5L 4 cylinder engines. The AX5 will not mate up to a 4.0L engine.
Transmission #2 is the AX15. The AX15 was put into all Jeep Wranglers produced from 1997 - 1999 with 4.0L 6 cylinder engines. The AX15 will not mate up to a 2.5L engine, however, it can be used on all 4.0L Jeep Wranglers from 1997 - 2004.
Transmission #3 is the 30RH 3 speed automatic transmission. The 30RH was put into all Jeep Wranglers produced from 1997 - 2002 with 2.5L 4 cylinder engines. The 30RH will not mate up to a 4.0L engine.
Transmission #4 is the 32RH 3 speed automatic transmission. The 32RH was put into all Jeep Wranglers produced from 1997 - 2002 with 4.0L 6 cylinder engines. The 32RH will not mate up to a 2.5L engine.
Transmission #5 is the New Venture or NV1500. The NV1500 was put into all Jeep Wranglers produced from 2003 - 2004 with 2.4L 4 cylinder engines. The New Venture NV1500 will not mate up to a 4.0L 6 cylinder engine.
Jeep Wrangler Transmission #6 is the New Venture or NV3550. The NV3550 was put into all Jeep Wranglers including Rubicon models produced from 2000 - 2004 with 4.0L 6 cylinder engines. The New Venture NV3550 will not mate up to a 2.5L engine, however, it can be used on all 4.0L Wranglers from 1997 - 2006.
Transmission #7 is the 42RH 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The 42RH was put into all Jeep Wranglers including Rubicons produced from 2003 - 2006 with 4.0L 6 cylinder engines. The 42RH will not mate up to a 2.5L engine.
Transmission #8 is the 6 speed manual NSG-370. The NSG-370 was put into all Jeep Wranglers including Rubicon models produced from 2005 - 2006 with 4.0L 6 cylinder and 2.4L 4 cylinder engines.
